I wouldn’t say I liked quadratic equations in school, well truthfully, almost all math. However, it turns out that owning and moving a boat has a lot in common with math and many variables.
We will be attending the AGLCA Fall Rendezvous at Joe Wheeler State Park with Lollipop from October 18th through the 21st. Then we will pilot Lollipop down the rivers to Mobile Bay to leave Lollipop at Turner Marine until after the holidays (and new grandchild).
Yesterday, October 7th, 2021, I drove a car to Turner Marine in Mobile, Alabama, and left it there, so we have transportation when we arrive at the end of October. My cheap and easy way home was a combination of Greyhound Bus and Deb meeting me in Columbus, Georgia. I left home at 4 am and arrived home at 10 pm—a long Day.
We hopefully arrive at Turner Marine on or before October 31st, 2021, with Lollipop. However, we will be rushing to get to the GHTA annual meeting at Amelia Island, Florida, which begins on November 1st, 2021. Hence the immediate need for a car. After the GHTA meeting ends on November 4th, we will head back to Lollipop and try to catch the Blue Angels homecoming show at Pensacola, Florida, on November 6th and 7th. Then immediately head back home to Georgia for a baby shower at 5:30. Whew!!!
Today finds us planning a shopping list for the two weeks we will be attending the AGLCA Fall Rendevous and traveling down the river system to Mobile Bay. Our plan is to grocery shop and provision in Guntersville before we depart. A friend of ours will be driving us to Lollipop to begin this whirlwind three weeks.
We are one week from starting the adventure. Now, if I could figure out the answer for 3x – y = 12, what is the answer for 8x/2y?
