Lollipop at 2021 AGLCA Fall Rendezvous

Captain Tom and I attended the 2021 America’s Great Loop Cruisers Association Fall Rendezvous last week aboard Lollipop.  First, I’d like to thank all those involved in the planning and execution of a wonderful event. Second, Tom and I met many great people and learned a lot about this adventure we have begun.

Joe Wheeler Marina and State Park in Northwest Alabama is such a pretty and relaxing place to be in October. Lots of birds on the water and fish in the lake. Tom and I took Gumdrop out for a cruise around the lake.

The biggest goal for the Fall Rendezvous is to connect with other loopers and loopers in planning.  Tom and I reconnected with Russ and Carol from MV Spirit this week.  We also met fellow Great Harbour GH37 owners, Dean and Janice from MV Blue Barnacle and Lee and Karen from MV At Last.  All three GH37s were docked at the same dock.  We enjoyed swapping Great Harbour notes with all three couples.

We connected with several Georgia boaters, as well.  Craig and Jane from MV Permanent Vacation docked in front of us, and Alan and Susan from MV Ablelene were a few boats over from us.

Now that the Rendezvous is in the books, MV Lollipop and crew will head to Turner Marine in Mobile Bay, Alabama.

I’m the Admiral, First Mate, Crew or Geek Squad aboard the “Good Ship Lollipop”. I’m also known as the “reluctant spouse” among “Loopers”, (people who cruise The Great Loop). Most every Looper vessel has a reluctant spouse.
